Students use art to brighten the day of children in the hospital
Orlando Junior Academy’s eighth grade class delivered over 150 angel cards to The Disney Pavilion at Florida Hospital for Children. Ms. Lisa Robertson, Family Ambassador and Community Donation Coordinator, at the Children’s Hospital, met with our students. Ms. Robertson explained what life is like for children who are in the hospital and what her department and the Child Life Department does to make the hospital experience as good as it can be. Regrettably many with serious illnesses were spending their holidays in the hospital. We’re glad that we had the opportunity to help in a small, but meaningful way, by bringing joy to these kids with the gift of our angel cards. Our prayer is that the angel cards found their way into the hands and hearts of children at Florida Hospital and are an encouragement. This was our 5th annual eighth grade trip. We continue to be blessed by this giving opportunity. Our thoughts and prayers turn to these special children in our community.
